Can you afford Sex and the City?

Anyone thinking of nipping over the pond to follow in the footsteps of Carrie Bradshaw, could find their purse a little on the light side when compared to the same time in 2008 when the first film hit our shores.

Due to global recessions and dwindling exchange rates you may now have to dig a little deeper.

As an example if you were to stay at the W Hotel for 2 nights in May 2008 it would of cost you £345, but now in 2010 it would set you back £446.

Or if a Marc Jacobs handbag gets you salivating, in 2008 it would of cost £518, but the same bag in 2010 would be £671 an extra £153!

So to help get you hard earned pounds to stretch a little further you may wish to try Carrie's new luxe destination - Abu Dhabi, where you'll get a lot more fun for less.

So before you set off on your travels visit Travelex.co.uk for the best exchange rates.
