Car Boot Chic - London Fashion Week
Chic Car Boot in Westfield
If you were in London’s Westfield Shopping Centre last week, you would have noticed fair flags hanging throughout the centre. Look a little closer and you would have had to have been blind to miss 20 brightly decorated Hyundai i20 cars filled with gorgeous clothes and accessories. Sounds odd? In celebration of London Fashion Week, Wesfield shopping centre held a chic car boot sale featuring 20 of London’s most popular brands - suddenly we have been blessed with a stylish car boot fair!
First up was the Buttercup Cake Shop car, which featured some incredibly delicious cupcakes. With a car boot full of flavours ranging from Banoffe pie to red velvet, there’s a cupcake that will suit everyone. So, if you’re going to have cupcakes featured at your wedding then why not have fun flavours instead of plain chocolate or a simple sponge cakes. Its not just the taste of these cupcakes that make them special-they are all so pretty too! These floral cupcakes would be perfect for a spring or summer wedding.
There was a lot of noise around the Whistles car-which had plenty of whistles around for their competition. But if there was one thing that really caught our wedding eye, it was definitely this feathered dress. At only £350, this hand-stiched with real ostrich feathers makes this dress perfect for a glamorous and daring bride on a budget.
Next up was the racy Myla car, filled with gorgeous silk and lace lingerie. Whilst they stocked classic white nighties, bras and knickers, there were also some gorgeous brighter colours such as coral and turquoise blue.
Over at the Mary Portas Charity Car we saw some gorgeous, exclusive china from the Victoria and Albert Museum, which look perfect at vintage or black and white wedding. The cake stand in particular is gorgeous and can be used to display pretty cupcakes!
Moving on to the House Of Fraser bright pink car, which mainly featured the new Biba range. However, there were some unexpected wedding finds at this stall, such as this shaggy white jackets and this gorgeous pearl and cold gold necklace-perfect for bridesmaids.
Mothers of the bride will need to look no further than this gorgeous Maxi dress from Ted Baker’s latest range. The stunning pattern on this dress makes it ideal for anyone who wants to jump away from traditional plain dresses, and at only £249 you can’t go wrong. Or for something a little more traditional, look no further than this simple cap sleeve maxi dress, £65 paired with this chic fur tippet, £25.
Over at the Riess car, we felling in love with this gorgeous cocktail dress, £169. Jewel tones are certainly in fashion when it comes to bridesmaid dresses this winter, making this violet dress perfect for weddings this winter.
Finally was the Swarovski car, which would have been any bride-to-be’s dream car. Full of sparkles, there were lots of little wedding treats to be found. The Swarovski car was overtaken by stuffed crows holding onto gorgeous jewellery, such as crystal rings and encrusted bracelets-brides can accessorise their outfit for the big day with ease at this car! We also loved the crystal stems on these cocktail glasses-great for adding a special touch to your tables.
