'Enders stars tie the knot

Stars from BBC soap EastEnders have been spotted in the quiet town of Hatherleigh, west Devon to attend the wedding of Ricky Groves and Hannah Waterman.

Groves plays mechanic Garry Hobbs, who always seems to find himself unlucky in love in the programme, and his wife, son of Minder star Dennis Waterman, played one of Ian Beale's many put-upon partners in the show.

The two have found love with each other in real life, however, and a star-studded congregation reportedly attended their wedding at a parish church in Inwardleigh.

They met on the set of the soap in 2000, when Groves joined the cast, and have been engaged since February last year, when he popped the question during a trip to Barbados, the North Devon Journal reports.

Reverend Mark Thomas, who conducted the service, commented: "I have only been ordained three years and this is my first celebrity wedding. It was a very nice day and went very well indeed."

Rather than making the long trip back to London to have their reception in the Queen Vic as you might have imagined, the newlyweds opted to have their party in the grounds of the bride's family home nearby.
