Jordan's influence
Glamour model Jordan arrived at her wedding to Peter Andre in a glass 'bubble' carriage.

The former Page Three girl received a bit of a battering in the press for her less than subtle entrance, but despite this, the carriage has proved more popular than ever since it was graced with Jordan's presence.

The coach costs £20,000 to hire out and many couples have decided to spend that bit extra in order to emulate their celebrity icon, reports the Daily Mail.

Carly and Matthew Trigg are one couple who decided to mark their special day with the carriage and Carly told the newspaper that once she saw it she knew she had to have it.

"I'd seen Jordan's wedding pictures in a magazine, and although I'm not a big fan of hers and her dress was quite over the top, I thought the glass Cinderella carriage was really pretty," she said.

Mandi Rai and Ranjit Gojra from Leeds also chose to hire the 'bubble' as they planned their "spectacular" wedding.

The couple planned to tie the knot in Leeds Castle and Mandi said this was one of the reasons she wanted to arrive in the glass carriage.

"The reason I wanted it so much was because it fitted in so well with the setting. Why get married in a castle if you can't become a princess?" she said.

The current climate of celebrity couples throwing evermore lavish weddings is passing on to us mere mortals, with more and more people following suit and throwing outlandish and expensive ceremonies.
