Kate's curves come top

Kate Winslet's curves have beaten the waif-like body in a poll on the type that most British women would like to have.

The actress beat famous but skeletal-framed figures such as Keira Knightley and Victoria Beckham in the Closer poll.

Mother-of-two Kate's curves bumped equally-healthy Charlotte Church into second place, who herself has made no secret about wishing to live a normal life.

The poll also found that thin frames with large chests were not what most UK women wanted, with Victoria Beckham, Kerry Katona and Jordan voting as having the least desirable figures.

However, the Sun said that some women still would not mind a stick-thin body as Keira Knightley came third in the survey.

Despite this, curvy women came out on top overall, with Wayne Rooney's girlfriend Coleen McLaughlin in fourth and Sienna Miller in fifth.
