Kent couple hoping for wedding win

A young couple from Kent have made it through to the final stages of a £50,000 marriage competition being organised by GMTV.

Vikki Pratt, 25, from Chatham, entered both herself and her husband-to-be, Lee Parsons, 29, into the Married in the Morning competition, reports the Medway Messenger.

Hoping she would provide a surprise for her lover, Ms Pratt sent the judging panel one dancing shoe each as the couple are both former professional Irish dancers – an innovative application technique which may have given them a shoo-in into the last three.

Members of the public can vote for the best couple to win, with votes having to be registered by Thursday July 27th.

The winning couple will be married live on GMTV on September 1st, with voters having had the opportunity to decide upon the married couple's honeymoon destination.
