Knightley gives Gucci gown to charity

Keira Knightley is to sell for charity the gold Gucci dress she famously wore to the Pirates of the Caribbean premiere last week.

The 21-year-old star amazed crowds with the backless gold number which was slashed to the waist at the front, but now she will use its fame to raise money for a good cause.

"I'd like to give it to charity for them to sell. It's not the kind of thing you can get away with wearing twice," said Keira.

This is not the first time that Keira's hand-me-downs have raised money for charity as the gown she wore to the Oscars ceremony was sold in an online auction earlier this year.

However, it appears that raising money is not the only thing on the mind of the svelte model.

Recent reports claimed that when filming of the third Pirates of the Caribbean films wraps up, Keira wants to find a man and just go out to the pub.
