'Mountain out of molehill' for Michael

George Michael's 'wedding' is still to be on despite the media making a mountain from a molehill of him in a clinch with another gay man, the singer said.

Former Wham! star Michael, 43, telephoned the chat show Richard & Judy to say that despite being caught with "Bernard Manning" on Hampstead Heath, his civil partnership to Kenny Goss was still on.

"I have got no issue with cruising. I've talked about it many times," said Michael on the Channel 4 show.

"This is no more of an issue than I ever said it was, it's never been an issue between us."

Rumours that their civil partnership was to be called off appeared after Michael was caught by a Sunday paper in an "intimate clinch" with a large man, whom the singer later dubbed "Bernard Manning".

However, Michael said that he and Goss had just celebrated their tenth anniversary of being together and their relationship was fine, adding that he was "not ashamed" of his behaviour.

Although the date for the 'wedding' is unconfirmed, Michael said that it was to be a low-key, private affair.
