New Zealand offers Maori weddings

Couples considering something to make their special day unique may like to know that New Zealand's native people, the Maoris, are now offering wedding ceremonies.

According to ITN, a company in Rotorua is offering a complete package for any blushing bride and her husband-to-be.

Partners from the United States, UK and Australia have already been tempted by the experience, which offers Maori native love songs and wedding cakes designed in the Maori fashion.

"It was great, it was amazing actually," Canadian couple the Podgates said, according to ITN.

The Maoris have long captivated people from across the world, especially with their traditional Haka war dance that is also seen before rugby internationals featuring New Zealand.

However, don't expect the groom to be wearing a suit for the occasion. Traditional dress is also part of the experience, so look out for future husbands standing in nothing but an animal skin as he says "I do".
