Sheryl back on dating scene

Sheryl Crow is back out looking for love and declaring it to be a "terrifying" experience, but still hopes for marriage.

In a televised interview, the 44-year-old singer said that she had found someone she likes but is not revealing who they are for the time being.

Asked by Larry King on CNN over her future plans, she said: "Yeah, I would love to be married. I love the idea of it. … My parents have been married 51 years and they're great people and happy and they enjoy each other, so ideally, yes, I would love to be married."

The singer is said to have met her current squeeze after being set up for a date by the former Friends star Courtney Cox.

New wedding plans for Sheryl follow her recent split from her fiance and cyclist Lance Armstrong.

It was meant to be hard on both of them as Men's Journal claims that Armstrong, despite famously fighting back against cancer, struggled to cope with Sheryl's recently diagnosed breast cancer.

But she is looking to start anew and rumours are that Sheryl is with an LA-based film director and she is already thinking of the prospect of children, either her own or adopted.
