Tomkat wedding on the horizon

Tom Cruise has finally revealed that he will be marrying Katie Holmes in a ceremony later this year.

The Mission: Impossible star and his other half have led a reclusive life ever since the birth of their daughter, Suri, who has yet to be caught in the glare of media attention.

And after a seemingly never-ending period of speculation about whether or not the couple would tie the knot, Cruise's spokesman declared that preparations were in progress.

"As far as I know, the plans are for late summer, maybe a bit later," said Paul Blach.

Reports have said that Holmes' parents, who are Catholic, are unhappy that their daughter could be about to partake in a non-Catholic marriage.

So even though the big day seems to be getting closer, don't expect that to be the end of the murmurings surrounding this one.
