Wedding bliss after near miss

Gunner Natalie Savage shattered bones in her back and was beaten by a Basra mob after a hit on the Land Rover she was in, but she has now married her rescuer, Lance Bombardier James Day.
"I have got my own hero now. I was lying there injured and James said, 'Please don't go. I don't want you to go, I don't want you to die'," said Natalie describing the event.
"Then he came to the hospital with a teddy bear and I just knew then. He told me, 'I love you'."
Both are currently serving in the Royal Artillery Regiment in Germany and Natalie, now 20, was paralysed from the waist down after an attack which saw Iraqi men kick and beat her.
However, James, now 22, came to her rescue and Natalie later managed to recover her lower-body strength and walk by herself down the aisle.
The couple have their second child on their way, but Natalie admitted the story of how they got together is quite unusual.
"It's not the way you would expect to meet your future husband," she commented.=
